New World Systems Hosts a 'Justice Information Sharing' Web Seminar

New World Systems, a leading provider of enterprise-wide software solutions for the public sector, is hosting a free Justice Information Sharing web seminar March 11, 2005. New World's goal is to provide law enforcement officials with innovative technology approaches to sharing information among city, county, and state law enforcement agencies to help in the fight against crime.

Justice Information Sharing is a key initiative for many agencies today as they look to improve safety in their region. This seminar will provide you with an opportunity to learn about various information sharing approaches, the key components of putting together a plan, and identifying obstacles you may face. New World will provide an example of an operational case study to show you what agencies are doing today, and how Global Justice XML will influence information sharing capabilities.

Gary, Ind. Police Department installed New World's Regional Data Sharing (RDS) solution to share information with Hammond and East Chicago, Ind. police departments, and most recently the Lake County, Ind. Sheriff's Office. Already, these high-profile public safety agencies have used RDS to help solve crimes. For example, at a crime scene a witness provided officers with a partial plate number and a description of a black Chevy. Using RDS, officers retrieved information that showed six vehicles were in the surrounding area. As it turned out, one of the six vehicles was stopped in a traffic violation two years ago and the driver received a ticket. The driver in this case was flagged, and based on further investigation was later arrested and convicted. Justice information sharing is a valuable investment for public safety personnel and the community.

"The power of partnership is a key factor in New World's success," said VP of Marketing Ken Lang, New World Systems. "We believe our relationship with our customers begins before the sale and continues for many years. This seminar is an example of how we provide value-added services to the industry we've been a part of for more than 20 years."

The seminar targets chiefs, sheriffs, crime analysts, detectives, and other law enforcement personnel interested in learning how a multi-agency approach to information sharing can help protect its citizens. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about new techniques from industry experts and peers.
